Fundamentals of Criminal Investigation and Intelligence

This book was designed and arranged accordingly aligned with the standards of the practitioners and the students based on the Table of Specifications set forth by the Professional Regulation Commission. This is one of the courses under Crime Detection and Investigation in the Licensure Examination for Criminologists as identified in the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order Number 05 series of 2018. The contents of this book were based on the CHED summary of topics and the Table of Specification issued by the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC). Anchored on the premise that students and registered criminologist can: utilize criminalistics or forensic science in the investigation and detection of crime; apply the principles and jurisprudence of criminal law, evidence, and criminal procedure; internalize the concept of human rights and victim welfare; demonstrate competence and broad understanding of law enforcement, public safety, and criminal justice; and act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility.
