The field of Criminology involves the study of crime and the various criminal justice agencies which provides adequate response to crime, victims and criminals. In this premise, it is expected that graduates of Criminology are responsive and professionally competitive in delivering services relative to crime prevention, criminalistics or forensic crime detection and investigation, rehabilitation and custody of offenders, as well as in conducting crime research in relation to crime control and prevention. As stated under CMO number 05, series of 2018, Criminology graduates shall be professionally competitive in utilizing criminalistics or forensic science in the detection and investigation of crime. Thus, aspiring Criminologists shall be forensically competitive and pass the Licensure Examination for Criminologists as their ticket to forensic practice. This material does not guarantee that the user will surely (100%) pass the Criminologist Licensure Examination, because this reference alone is only aligned to Crime Detection and Investigation being one of the areas/subjects in the entire examination. However, it is highly emphasized that the comprehensiveness and organization of the contents will surely capacitate and provides deeper understanding in applying the knowledge acquired herein.
