Introduction to Cybercrime and Environmental Laws and Protection

This book was designed and arranged accordingly to meet the standards of practitioners and students based on the Table of Specification set forth by the Professional Regulation Commission. This course is one of the subjects under Crime Detection and Investigation in the Licensure Examination for Criminologists as identified in the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Memorandum Order Number 05 series of 2018.Anchored on the premise that students and registered criminologists can demonstrate competence and broad understanding of law enforcement, public safety, and criminal justice and act in recognition of professional, social, and ethical responsibility. The book contains the summarized discussions on the basic concepts of cybercrime and environmental crimes, the acts that constitutes violations of the different cybercrime and environmental laws, basic procedural response, investigation and filing of cases. It also includes discussions on cybercrime warrants, application of cyber warrant, issuance and validity of the cyber warrant, preservation, and seizure of device and the cyber/electronic/digital evidence.
