Purposive Communication

This book, Purposive Communication was written for first year college students enrolled in Purposive Communication, a mandatory general education courses applicable to all programs in the Philippines. This book aimed to help students in understanding the rigors of communication in multicultural settings. The book aimed to incorporate activities that promote critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and effective communication. Individual and group activities are designed to strengthen the student’s ability to blend and work well with peers. Activities and lessons are designed to guide the students as they communicate and write academically. Discussion of oral and written communication in the workplace is also tackled. It is hoped that this book will aid students in the learning process, thus preparing them as well for the real world as they obtain their degrees.
